Foundations of Life In Christ.
Foundations of Life In Christ.
The Apostle Paul gives the best definition for the type of studying we encourage you to undertake. As he mentors Timothy he admonishes him to study the Word of God so that he can show himself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV). Studying the Word of God is an honorable and rewarding experience. It requires investment of our mind, body, soul, time, and key resources to maximize the experience. In essence, we are sitting down to meet with God and understand His mind.
Therefore, in such a study we are not to be in a hurry but rather we ought to have it planned out. We encourage you to plan for your study by setting aside a place and time that you can concentrate. You will need to have your notebook, pen, pencil, highlighters, and a reference Bible (we recommend Nelson's NKJV Study Bible). You may highlight passages that captures your mind or anything that you sense a connection in a peculiar way. You may draw lines using your pencil or you may choose not to highlight your Bible and instead write on your notebook. The key is to make sure that your cherished observations and acquired knowledge are not lost without documentation.
Make sure to pray that God would lead you through the process of studying His Word. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that the Word of God is illuminated in us and through us. As a result, transformation takes place in our lives as we continue to grow in the Word of God. As the video is playing, feel free to stop it, rewind it and listen as many times as possible in order to understand. It may be challenging as a beginner but do not be discouraged. Take meditating breaks in between and resume your study. You do not have to finish the entire video lesson in one sitting. You can always come back and continue from where you left.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT MONEY? "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children" (Hosea 4:6).
